What is coaching? Coaching is an active, hands-on approach to making changes in a person’s life. In coaching, we don’t simply talk about what someone wants to change – we make sure these changes happen. |
Educational coaching is a deliberate set of programs designed to achieve very specific changes in a student’s educational experience. Our style of coaching strikes a careful balance of empowerment and challenge. We encourage our students to embrace their strengths and overcome their fears as we push them to test their limits. |

Students with good grades who want to apply to boarding schools but lack particular key skills will benefit from our Admissions Readiness program. Students who feel they are not performing at their full potential will benefit from our Academic Enhancement program. We also offer a Profile Enhancement program for students who want to discover their personal interests and ensure their résumés clearly communicate these passions. |

ADMISSIONS READINESS |
We meet many talented students. Based on their parents’ accounts as well as these students’ academic records, we know what these students are capable of. However, sometimes factors ranging from unusual habits to personality quirks prevent a student from shining as brilliantly as s/he could. For example, some students become anxious when they need to strike up a conversation with a stranger while others might need to learn how to build strong relationships with teachers. |
Our Admissions Readiness program was designed for students with a relatively strong academic record who need an opportunity to warm up and develop or enhance skills that are critical to the admissions process before we officially kick off our Admissions Strategy & Planning. |
This program is most feasible for families who are no fewer than five months away from the school application deadline. |

ACADEMIC ENHANCEMENT |
Strong academic records are a result of numerous factors: motivation, interest in a subject matter, emotional and intellectual maturity, healthy study habits and a supportive environment at home. |
We meet with families to assess the context of a student’s academic performance. We remind families that not all children develop at the same rate and earlier development doesn’t always translate to greater success later in life. At the same time, we also encourage families to take advantage of a child’s early school years to build core skills. |
Our Academic Enhancement program is ideal for students whose academic records have room for improvement. Since strong academic performance is heavily dependent on appropriate habits and habits take time to change, this program requires a minimum commitment of one academic year. |
